Well, she's a drunk hag in this comic, and she had to do something to enrage Sanae for the purpose of the plot. I don't think that interpretation of Kanako and Suwako is particularly accurate or fun, but I can accept it here since it's needed for the plot.
Also, calling it: Kanako and Suwako will reflect on their actions and promise to do better, and this concession is what'll allow Sanae to swallow her pride and return home. However, on the last page, Kanako and Suwako will return to their usually rowdy selves, and Sanae will be like "I guess it can't be helped" and smile to herself, since she is happy to just be home and that everything is back to normal.
Japanese slice-of-life status-quo preserving humor at it's finest?
