At first they'd go through a period of shock lasting from one week up to half a year where they look outwardly okay and the numbness is mistaken for recovery, but even then there would be early signs of psychological damage in the form of avoidance of anything related to the incident and insomnia.

After the floodgates open they'd instantly go neet. Unable to function in normal society as they constantly break down into episodes of screaming and crying for hours at a time and night terrors pretty much stalking them whenever they close their eyes. Self-esteem dips downward and they soon think of themselves as "unworthy bitch" "good for nothing whore" and other such terms.

Of course, there are periods where they seem to be 'healed', in some cases these can last for nearly a year after the initial breakdown and to the outside observer it will actually be like they've recovered. These tend to end the second they remember the incident and relapse twice as hard as before.

From then on it just gradually worsens throughout the years until they die. Most of the time they'll begin to reject food and drink in favor of silently rocking themselves in the corner of the room. In some cases they actively try to take their own life in the same way as the incident as a form of redemption.

Keeping a traumatized monstergirl alive is tough work that requires 24/7 care in order to keep them forcibly fed and clean, as well as far away from any sharp objects or otherwise dangerous equipment.

The only treatment that shows any sign of improving their condition permanently are cuddle sessions from a close male friend or relative. Constant physical contact and words of praise are directly correlated to fewer suicide attempts and a higher chance of reentering society on their own. Monstergirls who become mothers rarely fall back.
