>There can be a lot of 'unspoken rules' and etiquette about concafes that no one will ever explain to you
I keep forgetting that I didn't end up posting the wall of text I initially type out, so: I've only been to one before, in 2019, and when I went in there the girl that seated me told me standard rules which I expected which were table fee 500yen/hr or whatever and "no touching" which I expected, although she later wanted to fist bump me which was confusing. I awkwardly spoke with them via translation software and a broken mess of Japanese with them trying English too, which I appreciated. Anyway, I got a cheki (? the instax photos with writing on them) from the girl I went to visit at that one which I still have. She made a personal twitter account after leaving but then had a meltdown one day and her account disappeared a few months later so I hope she's alright.

If I decide to pull the trigger I'll take your advice about timing and stuff, thank you. As I was looking up a few things about it I noticed this which seemed a bit strange. I'm wary of this kind of thing and am quite strongly against forcing people to do things they don't want to. I hope nothing like that is going on; the girl I like there has increasingly posted about her "poor health" leading to taking days off, which is fine, but I'm not sure if she's having to quit because of it by her own will or if she's been fired in more subtle terms.
