I don't think I've ever killed a spider, at least directly. My dad taught me spiders should, at most, be captured and tossed outside.

At the moment I've had a steady population of 2-3 spiders in my room for months, and we don't get in one another's way at all. They kept the room clean of insects in the summer, too.
