Finally got her down as well. Took 21.5 hours (couple of 1 hour long rest periods in there), 77 sorties, and 20 encounters with the boss. No ships lost, no chipping with DDs, just straight through with my main fleet.

20k+ Fuel, 17k Ammo, 20k+ steel, and negligible Bauxite. Only random drops of note were Suzuya and Kinugasa.
