It's pretty simple, really. Just select whatever shard you want to use, and then select a puppet capable of evolving with it. Level doesn't matter, and you have to use it on the puppet. Don't make it hold the shard, or nothing will happen

It's pretty simple. It work the same way that stone evolution work in vanilla pokemon; just use the shard on a viable puppet, level doesn't matter, as long as the puppet can use the shard.

Unless you're playing Fire Red, in which case you won't be able to use shard evos until after you beat the elite four. Sorry
