I think Meiling might be a good choice. She's nice, approachable as long as you don't look like you're trying to break in, and she's conveniently placed in front of reasonably easy to get to mansion so you don't have to go to the edges of hell or the netherworld just to hang out with her.

It would be nice, she can teach you magic kung fu. Maybe after you're good enough she can convince Remilia to hire you so you can both live in the same quarters and have some place to live.

She might just be a Scottish Chinaboo (I have a whole theory about that but I'll save it for a Meiling thread) which might be a down side depending on how you feel about the Scottish.

She probably came with the rest of the SDM crew from Europe. I'd like to think that she was Scottish (you know, because she kind of looks like it anyways) and had that theme going for her because she lived with her parents on some British colonies in China for most of her life.

They went back to Scotland after a while but the Chinese culture had a great effect on her and became a big part of who she was. She especially liked martial arts and she kept practicing and got good at it. She left home to travel around Europe and fight other people to hone her skills, taking up her Chinese name "Meiling" during her travels.

Meiling learned many things about fighting on her travels and got even better at it. Eventually she reached the point where it was no longer a challenge fighting normal people so she started going after creatures from myth instead. Her martial arts reached a supernatural level after fighting many monsters and while she didn't know it at the time, she even became one herself.

i see her as beautiful, fun, kind, sexy, vicious when needed, and lovable.

Sometimes it feels quite wrong to fap to Meiling. It's probably because I like her so much and that would be somehow disrespectful even if she's not real ;__; . My Meiling fumo fumo once accidentally fell down from my PC case and bounced right into a rather dusty corner of the room. I was rather devastated thinking that she would get dirty and it made me feel really really bad. I gave her a proper delicate dusting off and cleaning and made sure she's well sited so she won't drop down again. I think most fanon stories of Meiling hit the spot with how's she's really supposed to be (even the ones showing she's rather clumsy or even a bit dumb, even so I find that to be a part of her irresistible charm), although I think some of them are missing the prideful part of her personality.
