The family agree that Riyu is right, they should try to stay calm and patient. Rosa questions where Kanon is, and Shannon offers to search for him. Battler offers to go with her but she insists she'll be quick and goes alone. Before he can think to rush after her, Maria distracts them with omens of how Beatrice will take them all to the Golden Land. Riyu claims that they should let her continue if this is her coping mechanism, but makes sure to taunt her, to which Battler tells him to leave her alone. It cuts to Shannon, lamenting that she may have to deliver the news of Jessica's death to Kanon. She wants to wear George's ring but is afraid of potential consequences. She wishes he could've seen the ring before he died.
