Consider the fact that the total applicants for 8th gen were less than 1/3 of the 7th gen totals.

In the last thread one observant anon suggested that girls that were "the whole package" ie too good for MoMusu might get passed up/try for AKB instead. What I wonder is if the MoMusu brand name still has the power to attract this caliber of girl -which I think MM desperately needs at this point - in the first place.
If you were a marginally talented Japanese girl, aged10-17, would you want to take your chance on what many consider to be a sinking ship or would you try and find your ticket elsewhere?

Not hating on anyone's waifu, just trying to think about this objectively.
