nah, he's under the false assumption that evolution works like this "if it ain't broke, fix it till it is" when evolution actually works like this "if ain't broke don't fix it"

eating a large variety of food will not make us evolve, it will only make us happy

if we only had rocks and gravel to eat we'd probably evolve to digest rocks better and our bodies would take all its nutrition from rocks making us look like rocks, but thankfully it hasn't come to that

yup, they haven't been affected on an anatomical level because they adapted to it with their behavioral changes. taking care of their young instead of leaving them out to die shortly after being born, wearing protective clothing, huddling together around a fire, sharing stories about their survival and learning, it's all part of the package

if we weren't like that we might have grown hairier and had thick layers of blubber to protect us from the harsh winter cold, then shed all the hair and blubber once the ice age ended, but hey, nothing like that happened because it didn't fucking need to happen.
