Yuugi Hoshiguma had just pushed open the doors to the dojo and was stepping outside. She paused slightly when she saw that Yamame and I were still holding hands, but shook her head clenched her jaw, and continued, joining us so that the five of us were in a line, watching Reimu fight Suika. After a moment, I crossed my arms, and then Yamame did the same and so did Yuugi, so now we were all stood, cross-armed, watching Reimu fight Suika. And the fight seemed to be taking a turn for the worst. Despite the burst of energy Reimu had clearly gotten between waking up and starting the fight, it had dissipated fast, and she was getting sloppier with her movement. I saw her just barely graze Suika's chain, the one with the sphere on the end of it, but get caught a second later when the other chain, this one with the pyramid shape on it, wrapped around her arms. To her credit, even though she was struggling, Reimu immediately threw herself backwards, pulling the chain taught and sending Suika stumbling forward. Reimu landed on her back, then immediately threw her hand back against the ground and launched herself upward in a handspring, smashing both of her shoes against Suika's face hard enough to send her flying backwards.

The chain unravelled, leaving Reimu to stagger forward, swaying badly. I was starting to really worry that she needed to go to Eientei or something. "Total exhaustion." Lady Kasen muttered. "Sleeping for half a day won't fix that. She needs multiple days of getting a healthy amount of rest."

"She needs to do something to end this fight or she's going to need a little more than rest." Raki muttered back.

I don't think Reimu expected that Suika would dissolve into mist as she fell back, and her exhausted state meant that she missed the mist moving to her back, where Suika reappeared and swung her foot into Reimu's back hard enough to send her crashing to the ground. More concerningly, she didn't get back up. She tried, and then fell back. "Wow." Suika said out loud. "She actually fainted."

"That Reimu's sure not on peak form today." Yuugi commented, drinking from her massive sake dish. "Needs more meat in her diet."

"Huh." Raki said. "She put up way more of a fight against me." Lady Kasen cleared her throat. "Against us." Ibaraki-douji's arm raised a hand to her mouth. "Throw her in the water! That'll wake her up!"

"Excellent idea!" Suika shouted back, leaning down to pick the unconscious Shrine Maiden up. I started to push forward to stop them, and then, something strange happened.

First, Suika froze, her arm halfway outstretched. I could see her eyes shift from Reimu's face down to the gohei at her side. Strangely, it was beginning to vibrate. Suddenly, Suika's eyes widened, and she threw herself backwards several steps. "Get inside!" She roared at us, making Yamame and I jump, while the three oni merely watched. "You're not gonna like what comes next!"

"Something that scares even Shuuten-douji?" Raki muttered curiously. "This, I have to see."

"I don't think I even know of this one." Lady Kasen added. "Reimu's always full of surprises. Just when I think I've seen all she's capable of..."

Yuugi scratched at her chin. "That Shrine Maiden's stronger than she looks. She..." Yuugi trailed off, staring at Reimu's body.
