I think I discovered a bug in UM. When you unlock spell practice, spells are unlocked for all characters. If you complete a spell with a character on a stage it hasn't unlocked yet, practice will unlock for that character in that stage. For example, I didn't finish the game with Sakuya, but I could unlock stage 6 for Sakuya by capturing one of Tenkyu's spellcards.
