Yeah, that's why I have to make sure I'm not fooling myself with the pareidolia meme, which is very typical of people new to reading. Diminishing returns on info is natural. Until a new sound interpretation is found, the predecessors will be furiously developed until we're left nitpicking. New sound interpretations of course refer to profound ideas previous readers didn't find or syntheses lost on them. Reading is as creative and difficult a task as writing, after all. There are good readers and bad readers. Borges was a proponent of this idea, actually.

Regardless of the theory or its effort, we're avoiding uncharitable discussion. Those theories that are superfluous, and grasp at distant afterimages until their nails break, in the hollow hope of originality are what death of the author could be corrupted into supporting. As for a stupid theory developing into a good work, know that all great writers were also great readers, and so a writer who has read stupidly (and constructs his fiction on that phantasm) is likely to construct further stupidity. Before interpreting a musical piece, learn to master it technically, and in the same vein, before injecting creativity, be concerned with writing well. Writing creatively while abdicating skill its throne is basically learning how to draw anime without an understanding of realism (a lot of people are guilty of this). But it could happen, of course, if the interpretation was misled but truly excellent. That can happen. There are indeed valiant and intelligent but wrong ideas.

This is demonstrably false you know. I'll agree that it'll mostly be generic (like all else), but it has an adequate ratio of decent content, and ever since Rokkenjima died, this general, in timeless flux, is the best place for WTC info, so it has functionality for even the diligent lurker.
That's aside from the innumerable discussions you can get off Umineko alone (which of course won't be exhausted when your strainer is this lenient).
Impending WTC5 and Umineko 9th episode will remedy this multiplicatively.
