Thinking about Medicine's past raises questions. Who made her? It wasn't Alice; does that mean there's another skilled dollmaker in Gensokyo? Did she originate from outside Gensokyo? Was she named Medicine Melancholy by another or is that a name she chose?
PMiSS alludes to her possibly being a ventriloquist doll. Could she still have vague memories of her act? Would she view it as a partnered relationship or a master/slave relationship? Perhaps that's where her desire for doll liberation comes from, whether as part of her act or as a result of her being directly manipulated for entertainment? Could she have grown an attachment to her owner, a forgotten love that turned into a blanket anger towards humanity after being abandoned?
Why was she abandoned? How did she remain in such good condition after being abandoned for long enough to turn youkai? If she knew the circumstances behind her abandonment, would she forgive her owner?

Medicine has great potential and could produce a real standout piece of work in the hands of a talented creator.
