What do you think of sex scenes in non-nukige VNs? Do you think they're necessary? A nice bonus? Detracting from the real story?

And how do you look towards companies trying to make VNs without sex scenes, or that remove sex scenes from some of their releases (for console release or for other reasons)? What about fan translators removing sex scenes?

Well, i'm a faggot so i'm kinda biased when it comes to them.
Still, when i read a story with little romance or characters interaction ero scenes are just out of place. I didn't really mind them in Turkeyhandle or Swan Song, where i didn't really feel they were out of place.
