That's actually just google translate this other anon "translated" from. I thought it was alright when I wrote it.

I didn't want to just write ‘あなたは日本語をならいません‘ because that sounded like "You won't learn Japanese.", so instead I tried the こと angle for "You can't do the act of learning Japanese.".
