Satoko's purpose to Rika was basically to look cute and encourage Rika to keep going in the loops. Once that became unnecessary, their relationship kept going due to momentum, but Rika no longer had the same emotional need for Satoko that she did before, so it was only natural that their relationship fundamentally changed once they entered a different environment.
Despite all the claims about how Satoko is her best friend, Rika never saw Satoko as someone who could help her escape the loops, either. Only Keiichi and Akasaka fit that role for her, even though it took a century for either of them to actually do something helpful, and this continues in Gou/Sotsu, with Rika only starting to confide in her a little in early Tatariakashi.
