Hana awoke on her futon bared to the world with only a blanket to shield her from the elements, she stumbled up to her feet with sleep still heavy in her eyes. For a few moments her mind was tranquil as the last vestiges of her dreams escaped into her subconscious where they were perfectly hidden from her conscious mind.

She yawned and stretched, she felt heavier than normal which was odd to say the least and she grabbed her rotund belly feeling for extra fat... Wait...? Rotund? She looked down and saw her belly protrude modestly...

Right as she did she smelled something in the air, it smelled like food. Rice, miso soup, some sort of vegetable... It smelled like her father's cooking?! She absent mindedly exited her room in a rush despite her belly hampering her somewhat.

She barreled down the hallway, was it always this long? It felt like it took forever but the scent of cooking grew stronger by the second till she rounded the corner that parted the kitchen from the main hallway. There he was, her father Anon, the man she wanted most in the world and who... who... was the father of her child?

She looked back down the hall, it was much shorter now like it should be and she saw the door that she thought lead to her room was instead the door to her father's room. She glanced at the door to her room, it was open as if no one lived in there at the moment but she saw... a cradle...?

Ah, that's right... she and her father had come together during this time where they escaped her mother turned into nothing more than a distant memory. Yukari? that strange women? she hardly knew her.

Anon's face lit up as Hana entered the kitchen, and Hana could feel the rhythmic knocking of her heart as tears swelled into her eyes, they were tears of pure bliss. Hana launched herself at her father, wrapping her arms around him as he dropped the utensil he held, "Shhh, its just fine now..." Her heart knocked again as she wrapped herself in his arms.

Anon whispered sweetly, "theres no need to be so worried, breakfast is almost ready so why don't you take a seat" Hana could hear her father call out her name as her heart knocked again to the same rhythm, "There's no rush, nobody will ever get between us again..."

It was just what Hana wanted to hear, the knocking of her heart grew louder and the blackness of her closed eyes grew heavier as the world faded. It grew so dark, only the knocking of her heart was what she could make out now.

An emptiness filled her as she looked down at her belly finding it flat as usual, there was no smell of food in the air. She awoke in the futon she always slept in, a single sized futon that lay in the center of her room.

The dream didn't fade, it would've been easier that way but instead it burned a small hole in her memory, something to torment her later. For now she didn't have time to ponder it, she put on her yukuta sprawled out on the floor next to her bed and called out after a yawn forced its way out her throat, "Coming!"

As she approached the door whose incessant knocking was close to making her throw a fit, she heard another voice aside from her teacher's. It was smaller and more nervous, it couldn't be...?!

She opened the door and before her was Marisa and... Aunn!

Aunn was quick to rush inside her home without waiting for an invitation, as she seemed to sniff around her without saying a word, smelling it was her as if she couldn't believe her eyes; if Aunn had a tail Hana was sure it'd be wagging by now.

Aunn wasted no time wrapping her arms around her, "Hana! I've been so lonely since you left...!" She could practically hear the tears in her voice trying to hold themselves back as Hana returned her hug with a confused smile on her face. This wasn't expected but it was nice to experience again, Marisa smiled as she walked in without waiting for an invite, "I found this one wondering around the village like a stray. She said she couldn't just sit by at the shrine after she heard you were back, so I figured she'd love to visit ze~"

Hana couldn't keep a smile from her face as unexpectedly her own eyes started getting red, unlike before these tears were happy ones. Marisa's voice was full of amusement, "Now now, lets not give the neighbors gossip shall we? You haven't had breakfast right ze?"

Marisa herded the girls inside as she closed the door behind them, "There was a sale on fish so I figured...~"

The smells of breakfast soon filled the empty air of the small house, despite Aunn's insistence on sitting as physically close to Hana as she could and Marisa's... subpar... cooking skills it was still a rather enjoyable start of the day.
