Touhou was very close to getting a Touhou Smash Bros game from the FromSoySauce brothers, but then they got into cloud funding drama. It is easy to hate on those guys cause they're morons, but I think it was wrong for ZUN to shut down their funding campaign. ZUN's license never said you couldn't crowd fund a project. And also, there was a Chinese crowd funded Touhou game that ZUN didn't shutdown. No serious license should be arbitrarily enforced.

Those guys were complete retards and I'm glad they are gone, but I don't like ZUN's crowd funding policy. It wasn't explicitly mentioned in his original license. And he also arbitrarily allowed a Chinese doujin group to use crowd funding. ZUN also seems to arbitrarily greenlight certain funding platforms like saying yes to Steam, but no to Sony/Nintendo's platforms.
