Deen Stay Night was huge when it came out. Ads were plastered everywhere in nip land and lots of Fate cosplays around. Which was an impressive feat when you remember that 2006 was also the year other big names like Haruhi and Code Geass anime debuted. Kenji Kawai is a maestro. No track from Ufotable Fate holds a candle to Kishi ou no Hokori.

The UBW adaptation was almost perfect, expanded on scenes from the VN and changed very minor details like inner monologues into visual metaphors, symbolism and enhanced themes in very subtle ways.

HF went from being hated route to being the most successful Fate anime of all time thanks to Ufotable

The problems people have with UBW's adaptation are superficial, childish, based on misinformation, or the Mandela effect. As someone who re-read the UBW route at the same time the UBW anime was airing, Ufotable did a fantastic job on the show.

As for Daisuke's UBW offers details and character thoughts that the anime frequently omits, and therein lies its advantage.
