I suppose if it gets too bad you can just start deleting, adding, or editing what people say. Found out that if you edit the talk.txt file in the data folder you can change various NPC chat lines. By going into the user folder folder then talk folder you can follow the sample in there to create custom dialogue for your pets as well.
