Just watched the movie. Holy crap is it bad. Not even touching the aspect of plot or tone, the directing is so bad, it's flat and amateurish, but obviously trying hard to be interesting and artsy.
This mess is saved only by good animation and music. The opening is fucking fantastic. It looks and sounds like a quality, high-budget movie. But the content is far from what you'd expect from a movie.
Waiting anxiously for that season 2.
