Unless this post is a troll, I agree that Mayuyu's center is literally the worst center to come to AKB to date. She's inherently weak, she lacks charisma to handle the promotion firsthand at a time when everyone is expected to, she only has a limited appeal that sadly doesn't overlap with the desirable target audience that is the mainstream (seriously, talking about anime won't get aniota purityfags on your side, who even wants those people and Momoclo already panders heavily to them to the worst degree).
No hard feelings against Mayuyu, but this is my verdict.
You talk about difference in treatment while only considering the stadium reaction, but go and take a look at how both victories were covered by mainstream media. Sasshi was celebrated on every cover on entame newspapers and her first place was brough up on every variety show for months. Mayuyu didn't even receive a decent interview, media was more interested in talking about how Chinese fans organized the votings, there were literally more dedicated articles about Tanamin ranking in at all than Mayuyu getting first place. This is clearly because Tanamin despite being a very minor member dedicated time and effort to bring out her unique character that broke the mold without being self-alienating (in more than a way, I consider Tanamin to be the anti-idol that Bis could be if it wasn't 150% shit). The moral of the story is that this is quite clearly an age where following the Showa-era archetype of idol turns itself into a minus.
Also Mayuyu isn't Takamina, you can't suggest the management how to handle renai kinshi, even if it's just PR it was just in poor taste. And also terribly out of date, considering that any infraction gets duly ignored after Miichan acted like a fucking retard for the detriment of everyone.
