When I draw something, I can't picture things like a painter would. Not with vague blotches of color. No, objects are defined by their boundaries. I think of drawings very technically, like imagining a blueprint and projecting it into a perspective. But painters don't see it like that. They just put color where it belongs. They don't even need lineart. I think if you can just use a large square brush to paint hair highlights without worrying about the edges of it, you could become a good painter.

Higurashi itself seems far bigger right. And that collaboration announcement video has flown completely under radar at 2k views, but I don't have anything to compare it to. Sotsu PV2 got 139k+37k views in the same timeframe, but that was published on Kadokawa's huge channel. The S;G collab has gotten some attention on twitter, but even Gou's Teppei episode reruns get more than it does.

Now that I think of it, the higurashi mei tag on twitter is surprisingly quiet while the anime tags get so fucking much spam I still have to mute new accounts every day.

Interesting how Yukarin is supposedly a more professional voice actor than pretty much anyone else on the Higurashi main cast, yet her Rika portrayal has changed completely from the early drama CDs, whereas pappii, Kanai Mika, and Satsuki Yukino have managed to stay the same.
