Many threads ago a sir was asking if DMM had recently recompressed all of their images, I said yes and was pretty sure of it but I think I neglected to post an example. Or an example of WILL-E studio websites sometimes still having the "old" or original images.

When I downloaded "mdvr00223pl.jpg" on release day (2022-08-03) from DMM:

It's pretty obvious that they are recompressing them, and for such a minimal size reduction. The ~8 KiB difference between MOODYZ and the "old" image probably comes down to one being "JFIF", whatever that means, and the other not but having XMP metadata in it - but those two are clearly the same image, or at least close enough visually. The first "portrait" image is usually slightly bigger on the studio sites https://files.catbox.moe/mijuuz.jpg (600x816) vs. DMM (800px cap) so I'm inclined to believe they had the "original" to begin with and DMM has always been recompressing them.
I did put them all through jpegoptim to try and account for any differences in the encoder used, extra metadata (I neglected to "strip-all"), progressive/sequential, etc. It is lossless unless you specify "lossy optimization" which is a bit of a misnomer.

kek, told ya. I might have some of her old T/B 2160p scenes dicking around somewhere at 60 fps but I'm not sure if it's worth it.
