Anyways, it seems like /jp/ has been mindlessly copying what people said again, and it's really different from what people said. She didn't have 'just a couple more years to live', she had 15 years to live at the time of writing (which was more than half of her preceding life). She never left the VN community, she only dropped fan translation. Everything seems possible enough - she seems to have bad health, occasionally disappearing for days due to illness (recently she even disappeared for a month, saying she had been ill when she returned). She disappeared for half a year after the infamous blog post, only to return and continue posting as if nothing had happened - something which people later implied means she was bullshitting, but in that blog post she explicitly says she's going to remain on the enthusiast side, just dropping fan translation.
