Aya is multi-talented.

Athletic females are ideal. Aya isn't psychotic, she's just optimistic. She gives out her paper to as many denizens of Gensokyo as possible and probably just assumes everyone reads them over. Judging from the reactions of many youkai and humans to her stories I'd say her assumption would be correct.
