if your priority is making games just start with that immediately instead of thinking you gotta become a c++ programmer first. Programming is an important skill but if youre just interested in games youre gonna end up dropping it when you realize youve spent months learning stuff that amounts to 0% of progress for your 'dream game' or whatever. Download ue4 or godot or whatever engine and just like, make gaem.
