To borrow a cross-border term, we're talking about 'reals vs feels' here. More seriously it seems we're talking about the difference between logos and pathos. Yes, a person that thinks based on emotion and intuition will not understand someone that thinks based on logic. I do not believe you need evidence to back up that claim, the evidence is empirical in nature and is something we seem to both agree on.

You are right that you will never appeal to a emotionally driven person with logic and vice versa, but that is not true of axiom based logic. Granted it has to be something that is self evident as the name implies like: 'killing is wrong, stealing is bad, wearing your skin inside out would hurt'.
The reason for that is because it is logic, you are not arguing feelings IE 'its morally correct because it makes me feel good or is satisfying' . Anyone that is seriously trying to parse out a morality or philosophy based on logic has to abide by logic as well. This kind of logically made philosophy in general will never be seriously used by emotional thinkers to create a system of morality. That is why so long as the axiom is indeed self evident it can indeed be used to create a more objective view point.

I honestly don't think we have a real disagreement here.

All the fairies have heard of that place, where the nice man with the sad face that lived at the shrine would pamper you and play a bunch, while the funny smell made your body tickle and made his hugs super special. Though few could enter easily due to that dumb 'money' thing that humans seemed to love. So when they heard that the three fairies have been visiting as they pleased it elicited more than a few envious looks from the crowd.

A bonk on the head and a cry of 'what was that for?!' Saw the sunflower taken from Sunny by Star, "Its true Cirno isn't at the place they call the Hakurei Shrine Experience, but they have lots of strange Youkai all around the place, even ones I've never seen before from the underworld. I can feel them all hiding away in the back areas of the place even if they think they're hidden. Though I think that the only one who knows who killed Dai-chan would be Cirno herself, since they stole her! If we want to find a way to save Dai-chan we have to save Cirno!"

A ripple of agreement murmered through the fairies, it was so clear now the smartest among them were thinking! The two Daiyousei grasped the sunflower together and retrieved it from Star who let go willingly, "if there's any one who hates fairies its that mean door god who tried trapping all of us into shiny gems", "She did it so she could sit on all of us! She's the only one that would hurt Dai-chan and steal away Cirno!"

The crowd was getting excited, they had a target now! Lily, the sleepiest of them all stretched and yawned, her pawing hand found itself with the sunflower somehow, "Ahhhn~ If its that mean god that did it then we just have to go there and beat her up right? We'll just make her tell us where Cirno is and make her fix Dai-chan, right?"

Luna gingerly took the sunflower from the sleepy Lily, who offered no resistance. Luna puffed her chest up, only to speak in her normally soft voice casting everyone to strain to hear her, "um... well, it's easy enough to find her if you know where to look. Last time Larva had a door on her appear and stuff but..."

Circling around the butterfly everyone stretched their necks, only to find nothing on her back. This didn't dissuade Luna though, "Hmm, last time it was easy, but if we can do it like this then..."

Reaching out Luna prodded the small of Larva's back eliciting a sharp gasp and an unhappy face from the former god. She snatched the sunflower out of Luna's hand, bonked Luna with it, then spoke, "If we can't find a door easily, then we just have to find one. I know what the power of the Matajarin feels like, and her agents wonder around here and there. All we gotta do is find her, and fortunately I know just the Onee-san to look for!"

Larva's words caused a stir as she lifted the sunflower high above her head, "We're gonna play a visit to Narumi-nee and then we're bring all the fairies from everywhere to rescue Cirno and Dai-chan!"

A cheer erupted from the gathered fairies and it wasn't long after that they dispersed, word spread quickly and within the day a sight never witnessed in Gensokyo would take shape
