The very first video of Hololive I've ever seen was "Anime girl says the N-word". It randomly popped up in my recommendations one day in mid-2019, prior to that, I had zero interest in V-tubers in general and although I knew of Kizuna Ai, never once did I bother to check out her videos but I did find the concept cool. I'm guessing when that video dropped, it set the algorithm on fire because it managed to find me despite me having no interest in the medium. Although I found that video cute, I moved on.

Fast forward to May 2020, some account I follow retweeted a clip from "Anime girls speaking English" and once again, it was Miko playing GTA, sniping people from a rooftop yelling "STAY HOME". I decided to follow her and then learned more about the group, followed the rest of them and here I am. Miko's early 2020 clips will always have a place in my heart and to me, those were the best thing Hololive has ever produced. Mikoboat, stay home, rock paper scissors with Watame, Call of Duty, GTA, everything she did was gold until her hiatus.
