maybe it seems like that to someone who doesn't understand japanese, but the breakdown of ツンデレ馬鹿野郎 into
>ツンデレ refers to someone who likes a person, but expresses that affection poorly, and acts cold towards them
>馬鹿 most literally means "idiot" or "moron"
>野郎 is an informal term for a man
is just a little rhetorical parlor trick to make the "fragile male ego" thing seem like a more natural, obvious translation than it really is. 馬鹿野郎 doesn't translate to "male idiot", it's a compound word where 野郎 doesn't function as "man" but only serves as a way to make the connotation more vulgar, the equivalent of turning "idiot" into "damned idiot". So you see, choosing the phrasing "fragile "male" ego" - when "male fragility" is a common feminist term, is an obvious political dig.
