Who said you can't? Don't let it stop you.

Who cares? Why do you care?
My AI generated Mikus got over 1500 bookmarks on pixiv and it literally never discouraged me from continuing to make my own drawings that get like 20 bookmarks. After all I am drawing it for my own enjoyment and her, not to get famous. I am also training to become a producer right now as well and I am fully aware I won't become big given how little time I have for that.
Why do you care about getting popular instead of just doing that out of your own passion?

>having 20 people who really liked the stuff you make should be a massive achievement
This. I cherish all the total of two positive comments I got under one of my "music" upload.

>Drawing is NoT fun for me, but when I actually progress and get results I want out of drawing I love it.
Sounds like problem with your work hygiene, not AI.

>But if you don’t adapt to new technology you get left behind.
>I think in the future artists are going to be heavily incorporating AI in their art. Drawing over it, using it for bgs. And all that. It’s like when music started to become digital. Samples and loops and presets, I’m sure there were groups of traditional musicians hating on it but eventually it takes over
Then maybe instead of putting the bar so low, learn to use these tools to create something new and unique? Don't just put static image slideshow, but use these tools in ways others never thought of before? You know, that's kind of what being artist is all about?
Just like digital music opened doors to new musical genres unavailable with previous technology, you can use AI to push art into novel directions. I also planned to incorporate some AI tools into PVs once I get to the point of making them.

>I just want to be successful at what I like to do and make money doing it instead of wagie slaving on boring jobs. Kikuo makes like 500k a year believe it or not lol
Then doing Vocaloid is probably not for you. Living off music and art is not easy, especially if you limit yourself to small niche, I wouldn't bet on that. Especially with your attitude.
