Trying to get a concensus out of /jp/ is too difficult. In the end we're too many people with different interests, some of them overlapping.
Plus already dealing with ban evaders it means that they would have too much of a voice by just going through the IPs they already do normally.

<Saegrimr> Ban evasion is still against the rules, it doesn't matter what you post.
<Turtletron> so is ban evasion just something to select when you can't think of anything else
<Saegrimr> If you're ban evading, I don't see what else i'd need to select

I just don't see it. I think you're just imagining something to make it fit your view that moderation is corrupt and biased.

Don't get me started on how generals are the death of communities, but it's pretty much the best defense mechanism people can find from constant abuse. So it's pretty much the natural consequence from the high defenses we still keep for some goddamn reason.
I hate this.

>Ban evasion will result in permanent bans—no exceptions.
The 90 days time is to avoid clutter I guess, since ban evaders will evade ban evasion bans every time anyway. If you're dumb enough to have a pattern and leave evidence that you're evading then it's hard to avoid having a target on you at all times.

This is why we can't have nice things
