That's generally brought up in a comedic way, and his primary conflict is trying to find meaning in his life by being needed, which takes different forms, primarily his attempt to be a parent to Mitoko, which is the thing Asami was trying to give him by making him a father, but was not able to by being infertile, which is also why it's such a problem for him to change his relationship with Mitoko to being a lover (as he says when he finds out how she feels, that his heart was poisoned). His age is only the main theme of the game when considered in the context of it making his romantic relationship with Mitoko "forbidden." I am utterly convinced you haven't read the game.
