You can learn how to identify words without even knowing what they mean, which makes this process easier. Find someone or something on youtube that talks clearly and enunciates, bring up the CC for it, and follow along. Repeat a clip many times to get a feel for what is being said. Podcasts are nice for this.

Also unironically 真夏の夜の淫夢 parts 1-3 if you're having trouble deciphering conversation. The recording quality is shit and they mumble, but everything is fully transcripted and you can use it as a jumping off point for similar quality tv stuff scattered around the internet. The more junk you listen to and decrypt, the more used to the language's sound you will get.
