I don't know if there really IS such a point.
It's just more of a question of pacing yourself (which the monster nature of it being difficult to get them pregnant helps with) so you don't have too many kids around the same age.
I mean I realize that monster kids are very self-sufficient, but it's a lot easier to manage six kids when half of them are able to wrangle the younger ones.

Average tail amount is probably around 2 or 3 due to a relatively massive amount of one-tails.
It takes 800 years for a generation to reach nine tails (while remaining single), how many generations of younger foxes will have arrived in that time?

Be glad that MGE allows husbands to upgrade their wives' tail count, even if it does end up taking Pandemonium levels to hit 9 tails that way.
