If I were to make my own statement regarding this I would say that Gimme Choco was indeed a fluke. However the people at Amuse behind Babymetal managed to harvest the privileged positioning their viral MV placed them in and use the improved status and increased funds to transform the group from an idol-metal gimmick to a full-fledged idol-metal band.

Like that anime reviewer said, Babymetal is so much more than "adorable little girls". It's now a perfect rendition of their original invention, Kawaii Metal. They are one of if not the fastest growing name in the music industry right now, making headlines everywhere they go.

Metal Resistance is the turning point of Babymetal, where the managers/producers, girls and band have truly found and agreed on who they are as Babymetal and with this unified vision have made their second attempt at redefining the potentials of Metal and Idol. Metal Resistance was able to overcome the prejudice nonbelievers had of the future of the group and facilitate the conditions for them to truly be able to conquer the European and North American markets with a more mature and authentic sound.

As the girls and the Babymetal brand grow, the casual fans of yesterday are the diehard fans of today, with many many more casual fans being created with the recent Babymetal craze who will become the additional diehard fans of tomorrow.
