He turns around to be greeted by Natushi, gun in hand, nervous around Riyu, which he's noticed over the course of his stay. It would normally be easy to justify, but with the murders happening on the island she was acting as if he could expose any secrets she was keeping. He politely greets her, only to have Natsuhi respond with further hostility, asking him when he's going to drop his act, which baffles and irritates him. He responds politely before being interrupted again by Natsuhi exclaiming she "knows who he is". She claims that he's already taken everything from her, so what more does he want? How long has he planning the murders for, which naturally offends him. He defends himself but Natushi only grows more irate. She demands he stop pretending, but Riyu has no clue what she's talking about, and asks if she has any leads on a supposed culprit. She asks why he couldn't have killed her instead of her husband and daughter, but Riyu asks her to quit talking in riddles.

Regarding Riyu:
"This person has reasons of his own to defeat the witch."

First Twilight:
"Nanjo confirmed the deaths of all six people. There's no way he would mistake the status of a dead body."
