Magnum was charismatic. He got along well with both the girls and the producers. IME with Japanese women (really women in general) if they think you're creepy or "kimoi" you're dead in the water.Magnum had a charm about him that put everyone at ease. Even now there are other black actors jav producers could pull from but none of them have that charm. Actually there is one guy (pic related) and predictably he's a studio exclusive.
