That's because streaming videos isn't for free. Youtube/Google on the other hand collects information about you to bomb you with adds and treats you as guinea pigs for their stuff. And at least nicovideo is constantly working, unlike Youtube.
Youtube's jewish concept is leading to the quality of the videos you got there nowadays: short gibberish shit with over thousand adobe premiere™ effects and a bikini girl in the thumbnail to get more clicks to get more money. Great community.
