I guess he just never really cared much for the story in general I was reading it for the second time with him and he just read through big reveals with no reaction at all. He acted as if everything except for the big climax of each episodes were boring and I doubt he would be reading further than the 2nd episode if it wasn't for me always encouraging him to continue.
It's funny because he hated Erika and acts similar to her.
I loved Erika as a character but still when ShKanontrice was revealed I remember thinking how it made so much sense it made all along.
I guess he can't enjoy it because he doesn't love the characters, the story and mystery novels as much as I do.
