Shinki is a very thoughtful woman. She wanted her world to feel complete, and so she tried to replicate the inconsistencies of humans upon her daughters. With that, you have the emotional Yuki, the quiet Mai, the outgoing Louise, the competent Yumeko, the weird Alice, and so on.
They all serve a purpose and Shinki enjoys their company. She can pamper some, she can rely on others, it's all fun & games.
It would be a mistake to consider them as linear as a machine, however, but their growth among each other might be a little limited, which is why, again, human companionship was so appreciated & craved by Makaijin & humans alike.
The loss of the tourist agency was a truly sad & unfortunate one for both worlds.
