And after all that, Reverie, in her ignorance, still truly believes everything is alright. That the planetarian is still functioning. That man could still see the stars. That all will be fine given a bit of time. That man can come together and allow the wounds of the Earth to heal. But of course, from our point of view, we can only cry and say, "No... It's not alright... Everything is destroyed, broken, eroding away and returning to the Earth." And when we look around, we most certainly are correct. What is it that Reverie can see that allows her to place so much faith in man?

During the projection, Reverie's secret is apparent. She can see the stars. Jena is merely an instrument for Reverie. The true secret that allows Reverie to love is in her (however artificial) heart. The stars that guided man eons ago guided Reverie and allowed her to see the perfect world that man has once created. And when you're reading from the junker's point of view, hopeless and simply accepting the broken world that man conceived, "seeing" the light of the stars for the first time and understanding what man could do when guided by a light source that the whole world can see...

A great wanting comes from within. Much like Reverie, the junker is guided by that bright light in his head, however faint; a direction in a world where going astray appears to be the only option. But now, a small fire burns within, unable to be extinguished by the constant rain. And when you feel the great anger towards what man has done, feel the beauty of the stars, and feel the wanting to renew the ruined world...

You can only break down and cry. Go play Planetarian again.

I just finished this game in one sitting. Yeah, one sitting straight. OH GOD, WHY ARE THE JAPANESE SO GOOD AT MANIPULATING MY EMOTIONS? I knew she was gonna die but the buildup that led to it was awesome. oh god, I'm shedding tears right now. Its sad that not everyone would know of this little robot called Reverie, only us shut-ins who has played this visual novel.
