Sorry to hear this. Teaching must be a tough job indeed. I don't fully understand what you mean by "in your face", though. Are other teachers making some nasty remarks or do you dislike people approaching you while eating and minding your own business? I think you are in a position to pour some cold water on people dreaming of a teaching career in Japan if you so desire.

I remember we had a physics teacher who seemed to have social problems and every break he was pacing around the courtyard, talking to himself or eating something. Some kids told stories about his seeming absent-mindedness, but I don't remember anyone saying anything actually mean. It pains me that I'd do exactly the same if I were in his place right now.
