I cleared E7 earlier on kuso mode and am now farming for drops. Got Mizuho in a few tries but I know E4 will fuck me up pre-boss a lot of the time so I can forget about Umikaze.

Thinking about farming E5 node G (hard), where Taigei and Yuuchan supposedly drop, or does someone have a better idea? I really want Taigei. I know she drops on E2 G as well but I haven't gotten her in a lot of sorties and getting Yuuchan seems tempting as well.

They can. Poi with +9 Akizuki guns deals 2x 213 damage. Of course it's lower than Quint Hatsushimo's 2x 246 but on the other hand it's much more reliable (99% vs 60-70%) and DDs aren't supposed to be the ones killing the boss anyway, they're supposed to kill escorts, CLTs are for for the sturdiest opponents.

As I said, the benefits are smaller with each star while the cost rises a lot. It's better to focus on other stuff and only after you get EVERYTHING important at proper tier, you should start polishing +4 to +6 or +9 to max.

There are three sub-only torps (FaT and two 53cm) for even the most unlucky guys (lucky shitters dropped Yuu(s) in Spring) and you only need total of 12 torps for subs. 9 Quads are enough.
