The PS3 version has a bigger library of music than the PS2 one. Plus, they have different different tracks at different times, so you would have to go through the game to memorize when each track would start, just like how the graphics were patched in.

It's still worth it, because the music is practically Umineko-tier. They keep in all of the memorable tracks from later on, while adding in new ones to keep it from getting repetitive. The music patch you're talking about is for the old mangagamer release and is extremely incomplete.
