It took you that long? I just spent 2 days distilling the language down to its most basic principles, and then from there derived everything as needed. Now I am literally more fluent than most native speakers. I feel bad for all the losers that have to memorize each individual word and kanji.

I really enjoyed Symphonic Rain's BGM and the Rain Musique w/ vocals

I can read Japanese better than a native speaker can, but still I only read translations because they are objectively the superior way to enjoy the medium. Without the layer of abstraction that translations provide between the reader and the original text, you're exposed to all of its flaws firsthand. The result is a much worse experience overall. Even a shitty translation is better than reading the original unprotected, because you can plausibly heap all the flaws onto the translator rather than the text, and still believe "I am reading something good", which even if false will increase your enjoyment of the work significantly.

Haha, look at this faggot over here. All that effort just to read all the shitty games that weren't even worth translating.

It's fine to enjoy your steak, but there's no reason to assume that a person that can be happy eating a cheap burger off the dollar menu of some fast food joint wouldn't also be able to enjoy that same steak just as much. I'm the one with all the options here. While you are unable to enjoy any game unless it happens to fall within that 10% that are actually unambiguously good, and for this I have nothing but pity. If you can't enjoy the mediocre titles along with the good ones then you might as well not even call yourself a fan of the medium at all.

It doesn't work like that, most vns are not katawa shoujo and don't have rabid autistic fanbases. Maybe a few people will post some things, but it will never be a huge thread. Especially since threads on /jp/ last a lot longer then they do on your /a/. Only times I can remember threads getting maxed for VNs like symphonic rain or swan song where when they were just translated. Make a thread about them now and you'd be lucky to get 30 posts assuming you don't samefag the whole time. This is because most of the people who were here that played it have left, and you newguys just don't care about anything that isn't recommended by your /a/ or /v/ kin.

I doubt many of these new people have even played the fucking basic good classics like fate/stay, ever17, kanon, whatever....But instead are coming off of g-sen and katawa and the like. Not saying g-sen was bad, I really liked the art and music. But it wasn't as good as peoples who only have an opinion pool of 5 games.

I'm just nervous. /jp/ has been close to dead for a while now, It was mostly just spam and junk all the time, every once in a while though there were great threads about/with new things (Like that burunyanman game, or the OC draw threads (Pic related, some /jp/er drew this of symphonic rain a while ago)). This little moot thing is just adding the finishing blow to /jp/'s already close to rotting corpse, and reviving it into something that might be a shitty version of /a/ (/a/ is shit), or it maybe the old blood will stay and create good things, while the newbloods learn and make the community better as a whole.
