Was pekomiko a corporate mandated separation?
The narrative is that pekora and miko were still close friends IRL but corporate tried doing what they did with EN to them - keep them separate to cultivate individual fanbases so that both their channels would grow significantly. And then utilize the artificial scarcity of the lack of pekomiko streams to push for bigger events.
And judging by the numbers this certainly seems to work - more stream viewers when they collab and more clips of their "reunion"

But are they really close irl? They didn't even know what shows the other was watching, the didn't know about what was up with each other irl - they were not close. It was like meeting a colleague and catching up with them without any contact for a year.

Why were they not in touch with each other off stream?

This conversation made me remember that one time Mikochi showed her concept art on stream & didn't realize her panties were visible.
Anyone have a link to that?
