So we're hiding from evil bug robots, and she lays this one on me.

The sentence reads, "Automatic combat arms... enemies," but using the furigana instead it would be "Automatic virus arms... enemies." The voice line just says "Virus...enemies."

What effect is the author going for with these furigana?
