I have rather fond memories of Skies of Arcadia, I don't recall any tediously long battles due to attack animations. That probably has a lot to do with the battle system though, if you wanted to use the strongest attacks enjoy defending for 4 turns beforehand.

That and I was too busy trying to get into my multiple waifu's pants. ♥ Aika, ♥ Fina, ♥ Multiple-females-from-my-crew.
